Finding accommodation in Paris
Vers l'accès à un logement pour vos études à Paris !

To access permanent accommodation, you need to be able to prove that you have regular resources, either by having a permanent contract (CDI) or a fixed-term contract (CDD) covering the academic year, or by benefiting from a permanent transfer.
Admission to private or public housing requires the presentation of a physical or moral guarantor (VISALE). It is advisable to prepare for your move in, including payment of the deposit and 1st month's rent.

The idea is to give students a room in a senior citizen's home, with the aim of creating a bond between them. The student generally shares the kitchen, toilet and bathroom, but independent accommodation is also available.
The formulas are varied:
❖ Free room in exchange for attendance or a commitment to share evenings
❖ Room with a contribution to costs in exchange for a few services
❖ Room with an occupancy allowance with no commitment on the part of the student
with the senior citizen.
