Student Entrepreneurship Coordinator

The Maison étudiante is recruiting a student entrepreneurship coordinator.

A key player in the economic development of the Paris region, the Direction de l'Attractivité et de l'Emploi is a project-based department on a human scale (282 agents). It oversees a range of initiatives including innovation, arts and crafts, higher education, integration and vocational training, the social economy, tourism, retail activities and events on the public domain.

As part of the Department of Development and Territorial Attractiveness (SDAT), the Office of Student Life (BVE) implements the City of Paris' public policies in favor of its 360,000 students. It works in partnership with the Crous, the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (CIUP), arrondissement town halls and all players in the student world.

It also runs the Maison étudiante, a facility that welcomes Parisian students to help them develop their general-interest initiatives, and supports nearly 500 associations and 200 individual project leaders. It supports students at key stages in their lives (well-being, mobility, professional integration, business start-ups, etc.) and has a main office in the 3rd arrondissement and a branch in the 6th arrondissement.

Its main objectives are to create :

  • answers to the multifactorial problems of student life in Paris;
  • collective action to promote student life;
  • a Parisian student life network.

What are your missions?

Reporting to the Head of Student Entrepreneurship and Student Life Facilities Management, you will be in charge of :

  • organize two student entrepreneurship support schemes
    • You're following the Créart'UP program for art and cultural entrepreneurship when you're a student in Paris:

Créart'UP is a program designed to promote artistic and cultural entrepreneurship among students in Greater Paris. Each year, it supports 13 innovative cultural projects on the road to professionalization, through masterclasses, workshops and personalized meetings with the executive producer and partners, culminating in a three-day festival at key cultural venues in Paris. 

  • You're following the Start'in ESS program for entrepreneurship in the Social Solidarity Economy and ecological transition: Start'in ESS is a program designed to support student projects in the SSE field, to help them progress and discover the players and actresses in SSE entrepreneurship, and to introduce students to forms of commitment in this sector. Following a call for projects, 15 winning projects are selected by a jury of partners to receive support and training designed to encourage the emergence of SSE projects and the consideration of climate issues. The scheme is run by the BVE and co-sponsored by the Académie du Climat (Department of School Affairs).

You will be involved in all BVE activities. You may be required to welcome, guide and provide information to the public at the Student Centre.

What do we expect from you?

You are dynamic, autonomous, organized and good with people. You are fluent in written and spoken French, and have an interest in student and community life.

Your knowledge of pedagogy and project support methods, as well as office automation tools (Outlook, Office) is appreciated.

Your knowledge of Parisian student life and the entrepreneurship sector would be a plus for this position.

You know how to conduct interviews, speak in public, work in a team and on varied, multi-skilled assignments.

You will be assigned to the Maison étudiante 6e located at 76bis rue de Rennes in the 6th arrondissement. From 2025, the position may move to the future Maison étudiante 18e, avenue de la porte de la Chapelle in the 18th arrondissement.

Flexible working hours Monday to Friday.

Imperative leave in August and late December (deliberation 2017 DAE 184).

Regular evenings and occasional weekends (3 to 4 Saturdays max per year).

Compensation

Your remuneration as an indication, net monthly amount before tax :

- Beginner (or junior): €1908

- Confirmed FP holder: €2250

For contract employees: obligation to take the competitive entrance examination and entry-level remuneration.
