And it's just getting started! See the Quartier Jeunes program

A universal and welcoming place

QJ is a universal, welcoming, caring and friendly place, open without distinction to all young people aged 16 to 30, whatever their profile: high school pupils, students, young professionals, civic service volunteers, young people looking for jobs or internships, apprenticeships or volunteer work... In addition to hosting the Centre d'information et de documentation jeunesse (CIDJ) and other associative or private structures, this space in the heart of the capital enables young people in Ile-de-France to benefit from advice and solutions. Concrete answers can be provided on all subjects that concern them. Work-sharing rooms are freely accessible, and young people will soon be able to enjoy a convivial break in a café area and on the QJ terrace overlooking the Louvre Museum.

Participatory governance

In 2021, young Parisians were consulted several times on the offer, programming and governance of this space. The name QJ (for "Quartier Jeunes") was chosen from their proposals. The governance of QJ will be participatory, with the forthcoming creation of an advisory committee comprising 4 colleges:

  1. institutional representatives and City of Paris departments
  2. associative partners (including CIDJ)
  3. companies
  4. a college of young people who will be asked to give their opinion on QJ's strategy, issues and major orientations (programming of activities and services).

Pass your driving test without breaking the bank! - Driving license assistance

Good deals and assistance for your driver's license

Having a driver's license can be a real asset when it comes to finding a job . Living in an area with little or no public transport, working shifted hours, doing an internship in the provinces .... These are just some of the reasons to get your driver's license.

1 driving license (15-25 years)

The €1-a-day driving license is a government-paid loan for young people aged 15 to 25 who want to take the practical part of their driving license. We'll explain the details below:

Conditions:

  • Available to 15 to 25 year-olds
  • You must register with a partner driving school
  • You need to prepare for the B, A1 or A2.
    • The amount of the loan: €600, €800, €1,000 or €1,200, for a first-time driver's license applicant.

The loan is repaid in monthly instalments of up to €30.

This loan can be combined with other public grants to finance your driving license, such as the one explained below.

Step by step:

  1. First, you need to register with a partner driving school.
  2. They will then give you an estimate of the number of hours required.
  3. Finally, you will receive a training contract to sign.
  • The loan will be granted after evaluation of the estimate and the training contract.
    • Then you have to wait for the 14-day cooling-off period.
    • Finally, the loan is paid directly to the chosen school in one, two or three instalments.

Personal training account (CPF)

If you are at least 18 years old, whatever your situation, you can use the credits in your personal training account (CP F) to finance your driving license (including code and driving) in the following categories: B, C1, C, D1, D, C1E, CE, D1E, DE.

Please note! Terms and conditions:

  • You must prove that the permit will help you achieve or secure your career plan.
  • Also, the bank will ask you to give them a sworn statement that you have not prohibited the application for a license.

The personal training account (CPF):

In short, the CPF can be used by any employee throughout his or her working life (including periods of unemployment) to follow a training course leading to a qualification or certification. The CPF has replaced the individual right to training (Dif). Employees do not lose hours acquired under the Dif if they have been integrated into the CPF.

Who is it for?

  • Employees
  • Members of a self-employed or liberal profession
  • Collaborating spouses
  • Job seekers
  • Public-sector employees (please note that there are specific rules)
  • Self-employed workers

Assistance from the Île de France region

Finally, since March 1, 2021, you can also apply for a grant of 1,300 euros, of which 650 euros is conditional onobtaining a driving license.

This involves two payments of 650 euros, which are awarded according to success criteria: the first after the first 10 hours of driving and the second after obtaining the license.

The conditions

  • First of all, you need to start a training program at a EDI (Espace de Dynamique d'Insertion), E2C (Ecole 2ème Chance) or PEE (Parcours d'Entrée dans l'Emploi) or in a contractualized support program for employment and autonomy (PACEA)
    • OR: be a job seeker living in a QPV (Quartier Politique de la Ville) or ZRR (Zone Rurale Régionale).
  • Then you must have completed the first 10 hours of driving.
  • Finally, you need to fill in a form on the mesdemarches.iledefrance.fr website, which asks for proof of enrolment in the training program.
